SurfControl Enters Enterprise Anti-Spyware Market

SurfControl announced its new Enterprise Threat Shield, which is designed to defend against malicious software including spyware. The company said that Enterprise Threat Shield adds a new layer to their security suite that can protect systems by monitoring file access activity as well as scanning for malicious applications. The product stops adware, spyware, keyloggers, and protects against threats from instant messaging clients, peer-to-peer (P2P) clients, and games. SurfControl said the product will become available for download beginning May 4, 2005.

The anti-spyware solution market is already crowded with well over two dozen companies offering enterprise-enabled solutions . SurfControl's entry in the market space allows the company to leverage its existing customer base by offering integration with SurfControl's existing security solutions.
