SuperSite Blog Daily Update: December 27, 2010

Good morning. Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Amazon is now reporting that its latest Kindle is the best-selling product of all-time on its web site. As usual, no word on the actual number of units sold--just a vague "millions"--though the company took a little jab at the iPad (or "LCD tablets") by also noting that "many of the people who are buying Kindles also own an LCD tablet." In other words, the iPad isn't affecting Kindle sales. If you say so.

This actually happened last week, but Google announced that it was extending its free calling in Gmail  through 2011. I've never actually tried this feature--like in-Gmail IM, I feel it's a bit of over-reaching--but I suspect this is very useful for a lot of people.

LOLChet Severin is SO done with Windows 2.0.

There's gotta be more going on. Must be the holiday week...
