Does automatic failback use Live Migration?

Q. If I have failback enabled on my failover cluster VM, is Live Migration used during the failback?

A. No. The only time live migration is used is during a drain/resume operation. An automated failback uses quick migration and not live migration. Typically automatic failback is not recommended, partly for this reason.
