JSI Tip 1373. Can't connect to Oracle 7.3 via Proxy 2.0?

To use the Server Proxy service in Proxy 2.0, the TCP port must be remotely bound to the NIC on the Internet side of the Proxy Server.

The SQL*NET client dynamically configures the TCP port when the client connects.

Since the Oracle server and SQL*NET client communicate using dynamically configured TCP ports, it is impossible to connect via Proxy 2.0.
