Microsoft Corporation announced Wednesday that it will ship SQL Server 7.0 in November during Fall Comdex. SQL Server 7.0 is a major enhancement to the current version, 6.5, including compatibility with Windows 9x, easier manageability, and many ease-of-use tools. A desktop version of SQL Server will be included with Microsoft Office 2000, which is due in early 1999.
"We look at SQL 7 as a dramatic release for Microsoft, one that improves on a lot of different things," said Microsoft's Anoop Sinha
