Amsterdam conference will be first SharePoint 2010 event in Europe

The Windows IT Pro network has teamed up with Microsoft to present SharePoint Connections, a major new conference at the Amsterdam RAI on January 18 and 19, 2010.

SharePoint Connections will be the first SharePoint 2010 launch event in Europe. Visitors will be able to choose from over 40 seminars and workshops in four streams from luminaries like Microsoft senior technical evangelist Steven Fox, big business SharePoint architect Richard Taylor and MCSE+I, CISSP and MVP Michael Noel.

All sessions will be presented in English with speakers from all over the U.S. and Europe. The conference will also feature a strong contingent of local Dutch talent. Matthijs Hoekstra, for example, a developer evangelist for Microsoft in the Netherlands, will provide an overview of SharePoint 2010 Developer as well as presenting a seminar explaining what's new for end-users. Similarly, Mirjam van Olst, a SharePoint architect in the information worker solutions department of Macaw will present a session on growing SharePoint from small libraries to large-scale repositories and massive archives.

Details of the first 20 or so sessions at SharePoint Connections have been posted on the conference's website. More will follow over the next few days. Early-bird registrees can save €100 by booking before December 21.

Sponsoring exhibitors so far include Wortell, AgilePoint, Delta-N, Sogeti, Syntergy and Colligo Networks. For details about how to sponsor SharePoint Connections, contact Nigel Clapham via email or phone on +44 161 929 2800.
