In Outlook 2002, I've changed the default font in Views, Current View, Customize Current View, Other Settings, but the font keeps defaulting to 8-point Tahoma. Why won't Outlook use the font that I set?

Go back to View, Current View, Customize Current View, but this time, choose Automatic Formatting. If you have automatic formatting rules set up, as Figure 2 shows, the rules will take precedence over the fonts set in Other Settings, which Figure 3 shows. Outlook sets up some automatic formatting rules as a default for the Inbox and most other folders.
