JSI Tip 9661. A scheduled backup operation may not start in Windows Server 2003 or in Windows 2000?

Your scheduled NTBackup.exe may not start if the backup device has been mounted twice, leaving the second mount operation in a waiting state.

If this rare condition exists, you must cancel the pending mount operation:

1. Right-click My Computer and press Manage.

2. Expand Storage / Removable Storage / Work Queue.

3. Right-click the applicable backup device in the work queue and press Cancel Request.
