The subject problem only occurs with music files, because Windows Media Player, used to record the music files, does NOT delete them from the temporary storage area.
To empty the temporary storage area:
1. Open My Computer.
2. Double-click your recorder drive.
3. The music files are listed under Files Ready to Be Written to the CD. Press Delete temporary files under CD Writing Tasks.
NOTE: See:
- Windows XP has native support for CD-ROM recording.
- How do I copy files and folders to a CD-R or CD-RW in Windows XP?
