Flexera Software, provider of InstallShield and other software licensing, installation, packaging, and compliance management solutions, announced the general availability of InstallShield Limited Edition for Visual Studio 2010 within Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. Developed in partnership with Microsoft, InstallShield Limited Edition for Visual Studio 2010 is a Visual Studio extension that can be used to build Windows installer-based deployment packages for applications deployed on the Windows platform. The software provides an easy-to-use, modern, graphical development environment and the ability to build deployment projects using Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server. Per the vendor, InstallShield Limited Edition replaces Visual Studio Installer (VSI) as the preferred MSI installer development tool.
