Ed Bott does it again (the good kind)

ZDNet blogger Ed Bott has been busy deconstructing Peter Gutmann's high profile and controversial, but ultimately toothless, critique of Windows Vista's DRM (digital rights management) technologies. According to Gutmann, an academic researcher, Microsoft is undertaking a conspiracy to deny users their digital rights, and Windows Vista is just the latest part of this evil plan. Bott says that's crock. And what's beautiful is he's written an extensive three part series that conclusively proves Gutmann has no idea what he's taking about. This is legendary stuff, folks, and needs to be read.

Everything you’ve read about Vista DRM is wrong (Part 1)
Everything you’ve read about Vista DRM is wrong (Part 2)
Everything you’ve read about Vista DRM is wrong (Part 3)

Again, kudos to Ed for this. First rate.
