JSI Tip 4340. How do I change the location of the Start menu?

You can use Windows 2000 Group Policy to alter the location of the Start menu to:

Basic - Redirector everyone's folder to the same location or

Advanced - Specify locations for various user groups:

1. Open the Default Domain Group Policy and navigate to User Configuration / Windows Settings / Folder Redirection / Start Menu.

2. Right-click Start Menu and press Properties.

3. Toggle the drop-down box to one of the above selections. If you choose Basic, type or Browse to the target folder. On the Serttings tab, select your Policy Removal choice and press Apply. If you choose Advanced, press the Add button and complete the dialog box.
