Q: Can I integrate System Center 2012 Orchestrator Runbooks with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager?

A: Using System Center 2012 Orchestrator, it's possible to create runbooks (sequences of activities) covering pretty much any type of system that exists in an organization. In desktop and server management using Configuration Manager, there are times when running a runbook from Orchestrator would be very useful.

Microsoft has released Runbook Commander 2.0 for System Center 2012. It's downloadable at "Runbook Commander 2.0 – Orchestrator Console Extension for Configuration Manager."  Get documentation at Neil Peterson's Technet blog post.

After the application is installed, the first step is to run the Runbook Command XML Generator, which allows you to select which Runbooks should be exposed to Configuration Manager.

Speciify the Web Service URL (usually http://<Orchestrator FQDN:81/Orchestrator2012/Orchestrator.svc/) for your Orchestrator installation, and a set of credentials, then click Fetch. Select the runbooks and follow the rest of the prompts to complete installation.

Orin Thomas has a great article on System Center Orchestrator called "Understanding System Center Orchestrator 2012."
