Sun, IBM, and Netscape align against Apple/Microsoft JVM

Sun, IBM, and Netscape will unify their Java run-time libraries in an attempt to save the "100% Pure Java" initiative and protect themselves against Apple and Microsoft. Last month, Apple and Microsoft agreed to combine their Java Virtual Machines, effectively removing Sun from 99% of the desktop computer market. The three companies will officially announce this decision tomorrow at the Java Internet Business Expo in New York
