The U.S. Federal Trade Commission is looking into Intel's purchase of rival processor maker Chips & Technologies. Intel announced its intention to purchase C&T for $420 million in July. Officials at C&T have confirmed that the FTC has asked Intel to supply further information.
"Intel is reviewing the request and is not yet in a position to determine the date to which it will extend the tender offer," the company said in a statement
