Replicate Multiple Volumes on VHD to Azure

Q: If I have more than one volume on a VHD that replicated to Azure, will all the volumes be available?

A: Yes. A VHD is presented as a disk to the virtual machine, which means it's possible to create multiple volumes on a single VHD file. This is fully supported as part of a failover to Azure via Azure Site Recovery. The only special action you need to take is to ensure that the SAN policy is configured as ON, which will ensure that all disks are mounted in Azure and that the Azure temporary disk will be added as the next available drive letter.

For information on setting the SAN policy, see "Disks Not Online During Azure Migration."
