Quest Buys QMASTER

Quest Software acquired QMASTER Software Solutions, a privately held developer of distributed output management software solutions, including QMASTER Output. QMASTER Output provides a Web-based, scalable solution for management, distribution, and tracking of output in midsized to large distributed environments. It also supports many output devices physically located around an office, across the country, or around the world. QMASTER Batch, a companion job-scheduling solution, automates the execution of enterprise application processes based on time, activity, or events to ensure proper task execution and efficient use of computing resources. Used in more than 700 major corporations worldwide, QMASTER supports more than 12 operating systems, including Windows NT, major Unix platforms, and Linux. “Adding QMASTER Output to our Vista Plus family will allow us to provide an end-to-end solution for the creation and delivery of business documents,” says Terry Mullin, vice president of Quest’s Information Availability business unit.
