SQL Server Connections Call for Speakers Now Open!

Share your SQL Server knowledge with your peers at IT/Dev Connections

We are excited to announce that the IT/Dev Connections call for speakers is now open! The conference is taking place Monday, September 30th through Friday, October 4th at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. We are looking for 75-minute technical sessions and full-day, deep-dive pre-conference and post-conference workshops that offer practical advice and walk attendees step-by-step through SQL Server features, techniques, and troubleshooting. Sessions should be original and should not be recycled from past SQL Server Connections shows. Below is a list of topic areas for your reference as you begin to think about areas you might cover in your sessions. Suggestions for additional topics are always welcome.

  • SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2008/R2
  • SQL Server Database Administration
  • AlwaysOn
  • Performance Monitoring & Tuning
  • Security
  • Virtualization
  • SQL Server Database Development
  • SQL Server Business Intelligence
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • SQL Server Integration Services
  • SQL Server Analysis Services
  • Power View
  • PowerPivot
  • SharePoint Integration

We ask that each speaker present a minimum of two 75-minute sessions.

Submissions are due by EOD Tuesday, May 14th, 2013. Final session selections will be made by June 14th, 2013. If your sessions are chosen, you will be notified by email.

We are making it easier than ever to submit your session proposals and biographical details. Simply go to http://www.devconnections.com/proposal, click Submit a Proposal, and fill out the required fields. After you have submitted your first session proposal, you will have the option to submit additional proposals. You also have the ability to save your session proposals as drafts and modify/submit them at a later time. Here’s the basic information you’ll need to provide for each session proposal:

  • An active session title that describes what attendees will learn from your session
  • A 1-paragraph abstract that describes in detail what you will discuss during your session and the value the attendee will get out of attending that specific session
  • The track
  • The ability level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)

You’ll also be asked to provide a 1-2 sentence biographical statement and headshot photo.

We look forward to seeing your session proposals!
