JSI Tip 9337. How can I transfer Windows XP SP2 Pop-Up Blocker settings to other Windows XP computers?

Once you configure the Windows XP SP2 (Service Pack 2) setting the way you want them, you can use REG.EXE, built into Windows XP, to transfer them to other Windows XP SP2 computers.

To transfer the setting to a file on a share from the configured computer:

REG EXPORT "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows" \\ComputerName\ShareName\PB.XFR

On the receiving computers:

REG IMPORT \\ComputerName\ShareName\PB.XFR

NOTE: To manually add an allowable site, using the registry:

reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows\Allow" /V "www.JSIFAQ.com" /T REG_BINARY /F
