JSI Tip 4375. You cannot access your FAT16 volume from W9x, WinMe, or MS-DOS when you dual boot with WinNT, Win2000, or WinXP?

After you install Windows NT 4.0 or greater (Windows 2000 (NT 5.0) or Windows XP (NT 5.1)), you cannot access your FAT16 partition when you dual boot with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, or MS-DOS?

When you install a Windows NT operating system, you can create a FAT16 partition of up to 4GB, 64K clusters times 64K cluster size.

Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, and MS-DOS are only capable of accessing FAT16 volumes of up to 2GB.
