The Cloud is Built on Unicorns and Cotton Candy

The Cloud is Built on Unicorns and Cotton Candy

There's two sides this whole Cloud push.

There's the side that's built from substance. Where IT Pros can sit down and get their hands dirty determining where Cloud services might make sense to the organization. It's real. A datacenter with flickering lights and moving parts.

Then, there's the other side. The side that is built on unicorns and cotton candy. And, truly this is the side that continues to be a joke without a punchline. This is where a vendor just goes off the wall completely with messaging, and its marketing efforts make us wonder if we're supposed to laugh or not. You know the feeling.

A colleague passed the following Cloud marketing spoof along to me over the weekend, and it really imbues the second side of the Cloud. There are numerous vendors where this applies, but many of you will appreciate that it specifically highlights HP.

And, of course, it's from the Onion, so you know it's good.

Have a great week!
