Symantec is offering a free trial download of its upcoming Norton AntiVirus2000, now available in beta form. Symantec is requesting that anyonedownloading the beta report any bugs they find in the product. And they'reoffering free Symantec software to 100 random testers that submitundocumented bugs.

Norton AntiVirus 2000 beta will run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT4.0, and, perhaps most surprisingly, Windows 2000. I've been testing it onWindows 2000 Professional since the weekend and it seems to work great, butremember this is a beta product so all bets are off. If you're a fan ofNorton AV, as I am, you might want to check out the 10.5 MB download
