The Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker is designed to prevent most pop-up windows from appearing over Web pages when you are browsing the Internet.

In Windows XP SP2, the Pop-up Blocker is enabled by default.

To toggle the Pop-up Blocker on or off:

1. Start / Run / inetcpl.cpl / OK, OR press Internet Options on the Internet Explorer Tools menu.

2. Select the Privacy tab.

3. Check or clear the Block pop-ups box.

4. Press Apply and OK.
