Using some types of wireless cameras might not be such a good idea since many lack adequate security. ABC News recently published an eye-opening story that reveals the ramifications of not using a secured wireless camera.

The reporters behind the story bought a $100 rear view camera from a local auto parts store, installed it in a vehicle and then drove around to see what the camera might pick up. As you might guess, the camera picked up a whole lot more than just the view in front of the camera lens!

As it turns out, since the camera was an analog wireless version using standard frequencies used by many other cameras it was able to pick up all sort of images from other cameras in its vicinity. That obviously presents a problem.
