Thanks to Dallman Ross for the tip: Microsoft has fixed a "file accessvulnerability" in the FrontPage Personal Web Server running on Windows 95or 98 (Windows NT is not affected, nor is Personal Web Server for Windows95/98). The vulnerability could allow files on the server to be accessed byan unauthorized user who knew the name of the file and requested it via a specific non-standard URL.

A patch is now available to fix this vulnerability, and Microsoft recommends that affected customers download and install it. You can find this patch, and more information about the bug, at the FrontPage Updatesportion of the OfficeUpdate Web site
