Onkyo introduced the DV-CP802, a 6-disc progressive-scan DVD changer that's compatible with nearly every disc format in use today, including the high-resolution DVD-Audio (DVD-A) and multichannel Super Audio CD (SACD) audio formats. The 6-disc carousel includes the company's blue-illuminated tray light for disc recognition. It features a sophisticated 108MHz/12-bit video D/A converter for superior video clarity and detail, as well as advanced progressive-scan component-video output with 3-2 pulldown capability. In addition to the component-video output, you get both composite and S-video connections for compatibility with nearly all TV, and all video outputs are continuously active.

The DV-CP802 features 192KHz/24-bit audio DACs with Onkyo's Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry (VLSC) for smoother, more detailed analog output. Onkyo's exclusive Direct Digital Path ensures maximum integrity of Dolby Digital, DTS, and PCM audio signals to the rear-panel digital outputs. There is a complete multichannel analog audio output, including a defeatable second set of surround channel connections for use with 7.1-channel home theater systems.

The player is also fully compatible with DVD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, JPEG/Picture CD, and CD-R/RWs encoded with MP3 or WMA files. The Onkyo DV–CP802 six-disc changer is currently available in both black and silver at a suggested retail price of $500. For more information about the DV-CP802, contact Onkyo at 800-229-1687 or on the Web.
