JSI Tip 4189. You receive an access violation in Icwconn1.exe, Iexplore.exe, and Msimn.exe after upgrading to IE 5.5?

After upgrading to IE 5.5, starting any of the subject programs yields a Dr. Watson:

Application exception occurred:App: ProgramName.exe/lcwconn1.dbg (pid=###)When: MM/DD/YYY @ HH:MM:SSException number: c0000005 (access violation)

If you have RRAS installed but NOT configured, you would receive the error above.

NOTE: You would likely have RRAS errors in the System event log.

If you are NOT using RRAS:

1. Administrative Tools / Routing and Remote Access.

2. Right-click the server and press Disable Routing and Remote Access.
