Just a heads-up for Android users. The latest update for the Microsoft Health app is being widely reported to be causing severe smartphone battery drain.
Microsoft is aware of the issue. The battery drain exhibits itself when the app is both left running (open) and closed, however it consumes far less battery juice when it’s shut down. Some are taking the extreme measure to uninstall the app until a fix can be delivered.
So far, there’s no specific Android version identified.
