The world's largest tech trade show also attracts many automakers to Las Vegas to showcase the mobility of the future, represented in this slideshow by BMW's color-changing i Vision Dee.

The concept car uses its numerous sensors to register the identity and position of the person and reacts when they approach, with nine different facial expressions — the exterior colors can also be individualized.

Another major focus this year was on the kitchen, where companies including LG and Samsung pushed the boundaries of appliance technology with LED screens, smartphone apps, and an oven that can live-stream video of your cooking projects.
