Windows 10 November Update: More Tiles on the Start Screen

With the Windows 10 November update firmly in consumer hands, we can now identify new features delivered in the OS’s first major upgrade. Some are clearly evident, but some are seemingly tucked away.

One of those new features is the ability to have the Start screen to show more tiles, which started as a Windows Mobile 8.1 feature. This may seem like a pretty simple feature, but I welcome this new ability as I’ve been constantly hankering for more tile real estate since Windows 10 launched publicly for consumers in July.

Here’s how to turn this feature on:

  1. Open Settings and then Personalization.

  1. Go to Start and then turn on Show More Tiles.

As you can see in the image comparison below, the feature adds more space to the Start screen, allowing you to fit more tiles on the screen at once.
