11 Feb 16 Update: This build has now been made available for those Windows Insiders on the Windows 10 Mobile Slow Ring.
Those Windows 10 Mobile Insiders who have been watching the PC testers get a new build every week for the last month have been pretty fired up about their lack of new builds for their preferred testing platform.
It now seems a trend is beginning to form for a similar release pattern for those Insiders as Microsoft has just made a new Cumulative Update available for Fast Ring Windows Insiders on Windows 10 Mobile.
With the release of Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586.107 today, those testers have now received two new builds in as many weeks.
According to the the release announcement this build has three key fixes:
- Fixed an issue where in some cases a device could be missing tiles on the Start screen after going through the device out of box experience.
- Improved support in Narrator to speak in multiple languages.
- Improvements to the device reset experience when BitLocker\Device Encryption is enabled by enterprise policy or by the user.
I have seen many testers on social media talking about that last one so I am sure it will be very welcomed.
As for known issues in this build - zilch - this one is clean from that perspective.
One other significant thing was announced today about the Windows Insider Program on both PCs and mobile devices - the addition of a new ring called Release Preview. I am writing up a detailed article about that additional ring and how it all fits together.
I will add a link to it on thispage once it is ready as it is a work in progress.
