What's the Windows Server System Reference Architecture?

A. Microsoft has released the Windows Server System Reference Architecture, which consists of detailed architectural blueprints that IT Administrators can use to ensure Microsoft technologies are implemented according to best practices. You can download the reference at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/itsolutions/wssra/raguide/default.mspx. When you extract the file, you'll see a large folder structure broken down by technology areas. The folders contain documents that give detailed implementation plans in addition to high-level architectural blueprints.

The documents contain a lot of information. I recommend you download the reference and start reading the documents that relate to your environment. They provide very good guidance for creating and maintaining a best-practice environment.
