Surface Book & Surface Pro 4 Driver Updates Arrive Prior to Anniversary Update Release

The July driver updates for Microsoft's top end Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 will address bugs, stability and performance as the Redmond company prepares to ship the next major update to Windows 10 early next month.

These two devices have been getting monthly driver and firmware updates since their release last fall and have finally arrived at a point where their reliability has increased tremendously.  For me I no longer worry about the hardware and just get my work done when I use Surface Book. That is a big change from those first few months after the devices were released.

Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 share a common hardware setup and use a lot of the same components so when driver and firmware updates are released the list of drivers are nearly identical. Sometimes, like this month on a couple of drivers, their version numbers will vary slightly but overall the updates run parallel to each other.

This months updates to Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 cover a full list of components and at least one update is specifically in preparation for next months Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
