Q. When you install an Internet Explorer 7 package in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 the title bar contains UNKNOWN PUBLISHER instead of your organization name?

When you install an Internet Explorer 7 package the title bar contains UNKNOWN PUBLISHER even though you specified the organization name when you ran the customization wizard of the IEAK 7 (Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit 7) on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.

This behavior will occur if you specified a organization name that was longer than 15 characters.

This behavior occurs because the Internet Explorer 7 setup page limits the organization name to 15 characters.

To workaround this problem:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IEAK7 /V "Organization Name" /T REG_SZ /F /D "Your Organization Name"
