It looks like Nokia can work some magic with wireless operators that even Microsoft can’t muster: The smartphone giant today issued a software update for the Lumia 900 that fixes a handful of common and widely-reported bugs. It’s the second software update Nokia has issued since the Lumia 900 debuted.
According to the Nokia support web site, the new update is simply called NOKIA Update for Windows Phone and will rev the software version to 2175.1003.8112.12085. It includes the following new features:
- Removes purple hue which affected the screen of some devices in low light conditions
- Enhanced sensitivity for proximity sensor performance
- Other minor adjustments and enhancements
You’ll want to connect your phone to the PC to get this download as it’s 88 MB big. (Remember: Updates over 20 MB cannot be delivered to Windows Phone over the air.)
