New Surface Likely to Appear at Microsoft's October Event

In a very brief blog post on the Windows Experience site, the Windows and Devices Team have revealed plans for a Windows 10 event in New York City on 26 October.

Beyond the date and time, 10:00 AM on the 26th, there are not many other details except the phrases Imagine what you'll do and See what's next for Windows 10.

The event will be live streamed for everyone to watch along from home.

I suspect we may finally get a roadmap for some of the features that will be included in Redstone 2, the next major update to Windows 10, which is expected to be shipped sometime in early 2017.

What is missing from the announcement for this event is any mention of hardware. There have been rumors of a Surface All-In-One device being unveiled this fall and that recently gained some credibility with images of a mouse and keyboard from an FCC website filing.

No doubt that this is an item we will be keeping a very close eye on.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
