Microsoft Releases Update Rollup 1 for MultiPoint Server 2011

Microsoft this week announced its first major free update for Windows MultiPoint Server 2011, called Update Rollup 1. This release includes new language (Arabic and Hebrew) support, better support for touch screens, improved USB storage drive letter management, improved mouse handling, remote device automatic detection, and better support for PS/2 audio.

Microsoft previously announced the UR1 beta back in June, and this week's RTW announcement includes a few additional details:

"By adding support for Arabic and Hebrew, we have made it possible for MultiPoint Server 2011 to reach over 350 million more native speakers," Microsoft's Livi Erickson noted. "We feel confident that we are continuing to address customer needs and working to improve the overall experience with Windows MultiPoint Server."

Customers can download Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 Update Rollup 1 from the Microsoft web site.
