JSI Tip 8189. Permissions are not correctly inherited in a DFS topology on Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003?

When you use Windows Explorer to modify folder permission on a DFS (Distributed File System) topology, the permissions may be inherited from the DFS structure instead of from the folder.

To workaround this problem, never use the DFS path to set folder permissions, use the path of the folder, as in \\<ServerName>\<ShareName>.
