JSI Tip 7863. You are unable to save your Personalize Windows Update settings in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003?

When you attempt to personalize your Windows Update settings, the Windows Update Catalog link does NOT appear.

To workaround this behavior:

01. Open Internet Explorer.

02. On the Tools menu, select Internet Options.

03. Select the Security tab.

04. Select Internet under Select a Web content zone.

05. Press Custom Level.

06. Check Enable under Userdata persistence and press OK.

07. When prompted to confirm this change, press Yes.

08. Press OK to close the Internet Options dialog.

09. Close all instances of Internet Explorer.

10. Visit Windows Update and try to personalize your settings. If the problem persists, run the following PWUFix.bat script:
