JSI Tip 7531. Your Windows Server 2003 Logon and Logoff scripts do NOT run, and the Edit button truncates the script name?

When you use Group Policy to add a Logon and/or Logoff script, the scripts do NOT run. When you press the Edit button in the script Logon Properties, or Logoff Properties, dialog, the script name may be truncated.

This behavior will occur if you type a path and 256-character file name into the Script Name box.

To workaround this behavior, insure that the complete path and file name does NOT exceed 256 characters.
