JSI Tip 7398. You get an error when your Windows Server 2003 resumes from hibernation?

If your computer has more than 4 GB of RAM AND the /pae switch is missing from C:\Boot.ini, you will experience this problem.

To resolve this problem:

1. Start / Run / CMD / OK.

2. Type attrib -r -s -h c:\boot.ini and press Enter.

3. Type notepad c:\boot.ini and press Enter.

4. Add the /pae switch to the end of the line that corresponds to your installation of Windows Server 2003.

5. On the File menu, press Save.

6. On the File menu, press Exit.

7. Shutdown and restart your computer.
