JSI Tip 7002. When you use the Windows Server 2003 RRAS snap-in to set the Maximum Ports value of the PPTP WAN Miniport device to zero, you receive 'PPTP does not allow the number of ports to be set to zero'?

To workaround this behavior, you must prevent either incoming and/or outgoing Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) connections.

To Prevent Incoming PPTP Connections:

1. Use the RRAS snap-in to press the + sign on the RRAS server node.

2. Right-click Ports and press Properties.

3. Clear the Remote Access Connections (inbound only) box.

To Prevent Incoming and Outgoing PPTP Connections

1. Use the RRAS snap-in to press the + sign on the RRAS server node.

2. Right-click Ports and press Properties.

3.Clear the Remote Access Connections (inbound only) box and the Demand-dial routing connections (inbound and outbound) box.
