JSI Tip 6793. Windows Server 2003 is silent by default?

By default, the Windows Audio service in Windows Server 2003 is NOT started.

If you wish to configure it to always start:

1. Start / Run / Services.msc / OK.

2. Double-click Windows Audio and set Startup type to Automatic.

3. Press Apply and OK.

4. Open a CMD prompt and type:

net start audiosrv.
