Witnesses line up in Microsoft antitrust case

Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), squaring up for their antitrust trial later this month, have released their lists of witnesses that will be presented. Each side can bring twelve witnesses to the stand. Interestingly, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and president Steve Ballmer are not among the witnesses: However, the DOJ will be calling upon Netscape CEO Jim Barksdale, America Online VP David Colburn, and Intel VP Steve McGeady. Microsoft's witnesses include Compaq senior VP John Rose and Rational Software's Mike Devlin. Also appearing for Microsoft will be company executives Paul Maritz, James Allchin, Yusuf Medhi, Joachim Kempin, and Brad Chase, among others
