Where can I get information about my machine?

A. Several utilities are available. Winmsd is a good tool and can produce a full printed report about your computer. The report includes information about interior routing protocol (IRP) and direct memory access (DMA) settings for devices. A command-line version of winmsd is called winmsdp and is part of the Windows NT Resource Kit. You should run the utility regularly to ensure that no resource contentions have crept into your system.
