What Is a Resource Kit?

Assembled after a product ships, a resource kit typically contains not only utilities but also detailed product information that is more current than the product's documentation. Many resource kit utilities are either applications that someone at Microsoft uses internally or utilities that Microsoft creates to simplify your life.

The Microsoft Windows Internet Information Server Resource Kit is available from Microsoft Press for $49.95. However, Microsoft doesn't support the utilities on the CD-ROM, so you can't call tech support with problems.
