TerraServer shows off SQL Server 7.0

I first mentioned the Microsoft TerraServer in my review of the SQL Server 7.0 Workshop in February, but I was shocked to see it featured on CNN last weekend. Apparently the TerraServer, which provides satellite images from all over the earth, has been recently updated. The site, which features the largest database ever created, runs on SQL Server 7.0, which Microsoft will be releasing this Fall. As for the site itself, it will someday offer images from the entire globe. Today, most of the United States and select portions are other countries are available
