A: The new Windows 8 "Modern" (aka "Metro-style") applications don't install to the OS in the same way desktop applications do. To check the installation size for these applications, perform the following:
- Select the Settings charm.
- Click Change PC Settings.
- Select General from the navigation area.
- Scroll down in the information area to Available Storage and click View app sizes.
- The sizes of all Windows 8 "Modern" applications will be displayed
