Netscape will give browser away to ISPs

Netscape Communications is quietly giving its Navigator 4.0 browser away to select ISPs in a move to counter the rollout next week of Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0. Though Netscape isn't talking, two national Internet Service Providers have confirmed that they've signed deals with Netscape for free browsers. Normally, Netscape charges ISPs $15-16 per copy for Navigator
