MSDN delivers final Windows 2000 to users, sort of

The Microsoft Developer Network finally unveiled its download of the final version of Windows on Wednesday, but a glitch caused only the "checked" build to become available. The checked build includes debugging symbols used by developers, and it runs more slowly than the normal, "unchecked" build. And though MSDN's Subscriber Downloads site was bogged down as eager Professional and Universal members tried to grab the latest bits, the ones that got there first were in for a bit of a surprise.

Microsoft hoped to have the snafu fixed by the time you read this. But if you're an MSDN Universal or Professional member and you'd like to download Windows 2000, make sure you're getting the correct version. That's a huge download to grab by mistake if you don't know what you're getting
